About Us
Preservation Philosophy
At Deep Roots Craftsmen, preservation is more than a profession. It is a responsibility. We believe that historic buildings, traditional craftsmanship, and cultural landscapes connect us to the people and stories that came before us. Our work is guided by a commitment to stewardship, sustainability, and the belief that the best projects honor the past while serving future generations. We strive to leave every building, site, and community better than we found it.

Historic Preservation Expertise
Historic preservation is at the core of what we do. Our team has contributed to projects ranging from local community initiatives to large-scale restoration efforts at National Historic Landmark sites. We are experienced in structural restoration, historic windows and doors, timber framing, log structures, and traditional building systems. Every project is approached with a preservation-first mindset and a commitment to protecting historic integrity.
Regional Experience
Since 2018, Deep Roots Craftsmen has completed projects across Colorado and the Western United States, working with public agencies, nonprofit organizations, private property owners, architects, and preservation consultants. Our experience spans a wide range of building types, climates, and preservation challenges, giving us a practical understanding of the unique needs of of historic structures and cultural resources across the West.
Safety & Professionalism
Successful preservation projects require more than craftsmanship. They require organization, communication, and accountability. We maintain safe, well-managed job sites, coordinate closely with project teams, and approach every project with professionalism and respect. Whether working on an occupied public building or a remote historic structure, we prioritize safety, quality, and responsible project execution.
Collaborative Approach
We believe the best projects are built on strong relationships. We enjoy working closely with clients, architects, preservation specialists, contractors, and community stakeholders to find thoughtful solutions and achieve shared goals. By engaging early in the planning process and maintaining open communication throughout construction, we help turn ideas into successful preservation projects that respect both history and vision.
